Best of the Region 2011

Best of the Region 2011 Certificate We are proud to announce receiving the "Best of the Region" for 2011 in honor of Dr. Thomas Gill. Presented by The Citizen for the "People's Choice Awards".

Importance of Parasite Control

FleaWe at Brookside strongly recommend year-round parasite control for the safety of your pet as well as your family. For those of you with pets not currently on a year round parasite control program, consider this. Spring is an especially important time to start a monthly preventative program for heartworms, fleas, ticks, roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and tapeworms. Remember, some of these pests can infect humans, sometimes in disastrous ways. Migrating roundworm larvae, for instance, can cause blindness in some people that get infected. So don't take chances with your pet's health or that of your other family members, call for an appointment to start a monthly parasite control program today.

Science Friday Interview

Our own Dr. Thomas Gill was a guest on the "Science Friday" program that was broadcast from the Cornell University Campus on Friday, October 9, 2009. "Being a Veterinarian" was hosted by Ira Flatow and included interviews with four veterinarians practicing in different disciplines. To listen to the entire interview, please see www.sciencefriday.com/program/archives/200910092 and click the play button in the upper left corner of the web page.

Dental Health: Why It's So Important

Look at those choppers! Your pet's teeth play an important role in their overall health. Periodontal disease not only affects their gums, bones, and connective tissue around their teeth, but can also cause major problems involving their kidneys, liver, and heart. Don't take a chance with your pet's health, make an appointment and keep their smile sparkling.
